We recommend regular vacuuming without a rotating brush.
For spot cleaning a wool rug, natural soaps like Marseille soap or gall soap can be very effective. Dampen a clean white cloth with cold or lukewarm water, rub a small amount of soap onto the cloth to create light foam, and gently blot the stained area without rubbing. Work from the outer edges toward the center, then wipe with another clean damp cloth to remove any soap residue. Finally, press with a dry towel and let the area air dry completely. Avoid hot water and excessive moisture to protect the wool fibers.
For deep cleaning, we suggest professional rug cleaning, especially for wool rugs.
Our rugs are crafted from high-quality natural materials such as wool, cotton, and jute. All materials are carefully selected for their durability, texture, and environmental impact.
Some shedding is normal with natural wool and jute rugs, especially in the beginning. This will decrease over time with regular vacuuming. Shedding is part of the natural beauty of these materials and not a defect.
We try to take photos in as natural light as possible, showcasing the true color of the rug. As our rugs are handmade in small batches, it is natural that there’s slight color variation between the batches.
We also offer rug samples to make purchasing easier.
It is also normal that wool color changes slightly with sunlight. This happens especially with natural warm white wool as the white color gets slightly brighter over time.
