Aalto might mean “wave” in Finnish, but in the realm of design, it’s more than a mere ripple; it’s the cornerstone of Finnish design heritage. Our rug artfully melds both interpretations of the word. It pays tribute to the essence of practical Finnish design—echoing the gentle waves of a lakeside retreat or the cozy embrace of a winter’s evening by your hearth. With jute and wool yarn dancing harmoniously on its surface, it’s like the poetry of ripple waves on a tranquil lake.
Aalto is made of bleached jute and recycled Indian wool. The warp of the rug is made of recycled cotton.
Aalto is available in three sizes, 140x200, 160x230cm and 200x290cm
Wool is naturally water-repellent, making Aalto good at resisting stains. We recommend vacuuming and ventilation as the primary care methods. In case of severe stains, we recommend taking the rug to a professional cleaner.
It's recommended not to drag the rug from the edge. Jute and wool may shed some fibers, especially in the first months, but it is completely natural for these fibers.
